I once lived in an area of London where people run constantly. Step outside and you'll see runners. It's in the air. But what if you don't live somewhere like that? What if nobody around you runs, you don't know where to start, and the internet is just trying to sell you expensive kit that promises a new lifestyle but never delivers?

I got fed up watching people get put off by fitness marketing. Fed up with social media telling beginners about lactate thresholds when what they actually need is someone to say: "Just get out the door. Use what you've got. Build a routine." The elite niches have been served for years. The forgotten middle, real people who just want to run more, have been ignored.

I built CoRun for myself first. I used it to train for an ultra, and to help my partner Caroline train for her race. The AI would actually hold me accountable, at first it was quite harsh with me when I skipped sessions. I had to tone it down. But I thought: this works. This could help people who don't have access to good advice, who don't have runners in their life, who feel like running culture isn't for them.

So I decided to share it.
